      Sichuan-Tibet Railway (Sichuan-Tibet Railway) is a fast railway connecting Sichuan Province and Tibet Autonomous Region in China, which is in the east-west direction. It is the second railway entering Tibet in China and one of the main railway lines in southwest China.

     The Sichuan-Tibet railway is constructed by the way of building new lines and merging old ones, and it is built and operated by stages and sections; the construction of Lalin and Chengya sections started in December 2014,Yalin sections are scheduled to start construction by the end of 2019.

     The Sichuan-Tibet Railway starts from Chengdu, Sichuan Province, and runs from west to Lhasa, Tibet Autonomous Region, with a total length of 1838 km and a design speed of 160 to 200 km/h.

     On December 28,2018, Chengya section of Sichuan-Tibet Railway opened for operation. [6] On December 1,2019, the section from Lhasa to Linzhi of Sichuan-Tibet Railway has been paved to the Yalu Zangbo River Bridge in Suo Township, Shannan City, Tibet.
